When Life Comes Full Circle

This felt like the perfect first blog because this summer—and especially this month—has been filled with meaningful homecomings.

Music has led to places once only dreamed about—from sharing songs on Nashville's Music Row and festivals across the Midwest to hearing original music on radio stations, and even in gas stations and restaurants across the country. (Not much is cooler than realizing the song you recognize playing in a public place, is yours) But sometimes the most meaningful destinations are the ones that bring us back home.

When Boot Barn's corporate team extended an invitation to perform during the Mall of America expansion celebration, the first thought was simply, what an honor. (The second? Any excuse to shop at Boot Barn is a good one. 😊)

Growing up in Bloomington meant watching Mall of America rise from the ground. College years were spent working there—waitressing and even caring for the parrots at Rainforest Cafe back when live birds were part of the experience. (Yes, that was actually a job.😉)

Now, many miles later, there's an opportunity to return and share the music that has become life's passion, back in my hometown.

The month doesn't end there.

Later in August comes another meaningful homecoming—the Minnesota State Fair. The first performance there happened at just 15 years old, followed years later by the Grandstand Stage. This year brings another full-circle moment with a return to the BOB FM Stage.

These shows are reminders of where this journey started.

If there's one hope to share, it's this: Don't ever assume you've missed your chance, you may be better suited now than ever to make a dream come true!
